A Cuba bleu Chevrolet is an usual
view on the Cuba’s streets. Chevrolet is also known as Chevy and
is an automobile trade produced by the GM concern. It is the
best selling and mot popular trade of the concern. In Chevrolet
collection are over 20 models, each of them remodeled in every
era of the automobiles. Chevrolet produces from small cars to
commercial trucks, the most known truck being Chevrolet
Silverado, the second in the trucks sales top the Ford F-series
being the first one. Chevrolet Impala is the number one sold car
in USA. Chevrolet was founded by William C. Durant and Louis
Chevrolet who was a race driver. The first mentioned was founder
of the General Motors and after he was fired from the GM in
1910, he decided to rebuilt the Durant’s reputation in the
automobiles’ industry, together with Chevrolet. Over the time
the company extended and in 1916 (the year when Durant became
the president of the GM) Chevrolet fused with General Motors. In
this way Chevrolet had an immense impact in the automobiles
industry in USA in the period of 50s and 60s. In 1963 one of the
ten cars sold in USA was a Chevrolet. The most extended
Chevrolet is Corvette, developed by the chief-designer Harley
Earl. The first exemplar is produced in 1953 and it is the first
sport automobile entirely American. If at the beginning were
some difficulties, today Corvette is considered the ideal of the
American sport automobile. Its old history of 50 years revealed
a multitude of different models from different production
series. So, in present we can talk about the C1 Corvette (1958),
C2 Corvette Sting Ray (1963) or C4 Corvette (1993). The almost
famous Chevrolet Camaro is made as a direct rival of the
extremely popular Ford Mustang of the 60s. |
