Holguin is one
of the fourteen provinces of Cuba, which is an island located in
the Caribbean. Holguin is also the capital city of the province.
Holguin province is in the south eastern part of Cuba. In the
island of Cuba, Holguin is the second province with the most
population; the most populated one is Ciudad de la Habana. The
province of Holguin has been established in 1978. The area has a
population of over one million for a land area of over nine
thousand square kilometres. Holguin is not as famous as Havana
but the area has various attractions and is worth a visit when
you are visiting Cuba. Holguin is a place with beautiful
beaches. Guardalavaca is one of places in Holguin where the most
tourists are found. As attractions, there are a lot of water
sports which are practiced. There are also various parks in the
city of Holguin, museums and churches. |
