These are
typical casa which can be seen near the beach in Holguin mainly
in the fishing village. Casa is a Spanish or Italian word which
means house in English. Those casas are mainly inhabited by
families living in the fishing villages, these families live
mainly from fishing and some animals as pigs and chicken which
are grown up nearby the casas as source of food. Those people
living there do not seem to be very rich but are very happy with
their living. The people living near the coastal areas of
Holguin eat a lot of fish everyday. There is in Holguin several
Casa Particulares which are found, the casa particular are
private house where tourist can have a stay, it is almost the
same as bed and breakfast. Usually it is apartments or room in a
private family home of Holguin where you can have a stay. The
Casas Particulares are places for visitors who do want to stay
in a hotel which cost a lot and it is also a way to learn about
the people and their everyday life. |
