The Zapata
peninsula is located in the southern part of Cuba. The peninsula
of Zapata is in the province of Matanzas. Cuba has all together
fourteen provinces. The Zapata peninsula is a well known area to
the tourist visiting Cuba, there are in this area beautiful
beaches, but is also found there a park known as the Zapata
peninsula National Park. The well known beaches in the peninsula
are Giron and Larga beaches popular for scuba diving. These two
beautiful sandy beaches are about one hundred kilometres from
the city of Matanzas which is also the capital city of Matanzas
province. But those beautiful beaches are not only known for
scuba diving but also for snorkelling, sun bathing and swimming. |
